electricity.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00cele Maligne\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.placepourtoi.ca\/en\/museum\/hydroelectric-station-ile-maligne\">hydroelectric station<\/a>\u00a0did not supply enough of it to produce the aluminum required to manufacture airplanes.<\/p>\n<p>In Saguenay, a dam and station with 896 megawatts of power were opened that beat all the records.<\/p>\n<p>Roads and railroads were also built to transport nearly 400 tons of aluminum from Arvida to Montreal, which was then transformed into airplanes in huge hangars.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div Not only did they produce this plane, but Qu\u00e9bec engineers improved it with nearly <strong>60,000 additional modifications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>All of these manufacturers were behind the creation of\u00a0the high-tech aircraft industry\u00a0in the Montreal region.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><\/div><!--close column table wrapper.
