Profession Promotion Program

Engineers are the prime ambassadors and communicators of their own profession. The OIQ receives many requests annually from the school sector and, through its volunteer representatives, makes about 50 high school and college visits. The volunteer representatives are sent by the OIQ's regional committees. In each of these, a volunteer engineer coordinates the visits by his/her colleagues at the institutions and ensures follow-up.

As part of our Profession Promotion Program, the OIQ offers the following resources:

Speakers
When invited and depending on their availability, volunteer engineers from your region will be happy to meet with your students during school hours and give a presentation sharing their daily professional experiences. Click here to reserve now.
Facilitators
We also have a pool of volunteers for career days. Facilitators are available on a one-to-one basis to answer young people's questions at their stand.
A company visit
It may be possible to organize a student visit to an industry in the region, transportation included.
Accompanying and mentoring
